The Firm handles Family-based Immigration cases (e.g., Citizenship, Adjustment of Status, DACA, Parole in Place, Advanced Parole, Re-entry Permits, etc.), Business-based and Non-Immigrant Visa Immigration cases (e.g., H-1B Visas, O Visas, PERM, R Visas, J-1 Waivers, etc.), Consular Processing, Waivers (e.g. I-601, I-601A, I-212, etc.), Crime Victim Visas (e.g. U Visa, T Visa, and VAWA), and Deportation Defense cases. Her older brother, JJ, practiced in Miami, FL for a number of years before joining their father’s Immigration practice in 2009. Jeri joined the practice in 2012; and since then, the Firm has grown to 18 lawyers. Jeri is the Managing Partner of the Seattle office. NAPABA selected Jeri’s Firm as the 2018 APA-Owned Law Firm of the Year, where they were honored with the award at the 2018 NAPABA annual convention in Chicago.

Prior to joining her family’s Firm, Jeri had practiced law for about 5 years—starting her career as an attorney for a large Pacific Northwest law firm, and she also practiced as an in-house attorney for a Seattle-area healthcare organization. Jeri didn’t enjoy practicing law, however, until she began practicing as an Immigration attorney with her family’s Firm. She loves working with her family, as they fight to help keep other families together. Jeri received her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology/Sports Medicine from Rice University, cum laude, where she attended on a full-tennis scholarship. She received her J.D. from the University of Washington School of Law, where she was a member of the Moot Court Honor Board, the Tribal Court Criminal Defense Clinic, and was VP of the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association. Jeri is a Founding Member, Past-President, Past-Treasurer, and current Board Member of the Filipino Lawyers of Washington (FLOW). She is a current At-Large Board of Governor, the Past-VP of Membership, Past-Secretary, Past-Regional Governor, and Founding Sponsor & Founding Member of NFALA. Jeri was the Co-Chair of & a Presenter at the 2018 NFALA Mid-Year in Seattle. She has presented at American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) regional conferences, and she has presented at the annual NAPABA convention. She has spoken at churches and schools in Oregon and Washington on relevant immigration topics such as “Know Your Rights” and DACA. In her spare time, Jeri enjoys spending time with her family (even though she works for the family business), particularly with her husband, Naaman, and their two sons, Cornel and Julian, ages 2 and 3.5 years old.
